Pottery Class

Pottery Class
Come out and support Safe Place for Pets by attending our very first Pottery Class, led by local artisan Betsey Niebuhr.
This 3-hour class will give you hands-on instruction to create a sconce, candle holder or other keepsake. Intended for beginners and intermediate level students, you’ll learn to handle clay, shape it, and texturize it while experiencing the creative process in a whole new medium. You will be able to keep two pieces of your choice, and the firing and glazing will be taken care of for you in the colors you choose. Once your art piece is ready for pickup, we will arrange a hand-off to you.
Class will be held in the MAC, Manitou Art Center, 513 Manitou Avenue, Manitou Springs, CO. For 37 years this art center has enriched lives through music, theatre, pottery, printmaking, and “other loud, slightly dangerous, and intensely messy events.” Safe Place is honored to have access to this wonderful community of artists and to our own fine artist, Betsey Niebuhr!
