GIVE A GIFT TODAY AND HELP CHANGE THE LIFE OF A PET.
Since our inception, Safe Place for Pets has grown from a few volunteers caring for and rehoming a handful of pets in 1996 to a volunteer staff of more than 50 individuals who pour their passion into providing a safe haven for pets in our community. The support of individuals, companies, organizations and foundations has been instrumental in our continued growth and success. Please consider a donation to Safe Place for Pets and join those who have helped provide a safe place for pets, and a piece of mind for terminally ill pet owners and their families.
Libby came to Safe Place in April 2019 when her owner passed away from cancer. She was with us for less than a month before she was adopted by her new owner. Unfortunately, a few months after the adoption, Libby’s new owner was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Seeing as any animal that’s once a Safe Place pet is always a Safe Place Pet, Libby was retuned to us in December 2019. In February 2020, a new family fell in love with Libby and she’s been with them ever since!
Schroeder found his way to Safe Place after his beloved owner was moved into hospice. He joined us as a 10-year-old Beagle who always had a smile on his face. Shortly after arriving to Safe Place, his intake veterinary exam revealed Schroeder was in pain from his glaucoma. With the help of our supporters and vet partners, Safe Place was able to complete a double enucleation for Schroeder, who was shortly after adopted into his forever home!
