Foster
Fostering is a crucial part of our rescue process. The love and attention our fosters give our pets helps them transition to their new forever home.
Responsibilities: Fostering begins with an application and site visit at your home. Questions include information about your family, house, and the ability to care for a new animal. We ask you to provide love, attention and care to this temporary addition, and treat the pet like a member of your family. You may also be asked to be part of the visit with a new adopter.
Costs: The foster pet needs to be fed and exercised regularly. A pet bed or blanket, toys and treats may be needed. Safe Place will pay for any medical expenses when using one of our approved vets.
If you would like to foster, please contact us at 719-359-0201, info@safeplacepets.org or complete the foster application below.
