Tails to Tell: Exciting News from Safe Place for Pets

THANK YOU to those of you who helped us during the 2016 Indy GIVE! Campaign!!

Thanks to 232 generous donors, we raised over $18,000 during the 2016 Indy GIVE! Campaign!  We just can't thank you enough, because your donations are what allow us to continue serving the terminally ill in El Paso and Teller Counties by finding forever homes for their beloved pets.
We are honored to have been selected as the Group of the Month at Rescued Hearts Unique Boutique

For the month of January, a portion of their proceeds will be generously donated to Safe Place for Pets.  After all the holiday gift shopping you had to do last month, why not go shopping for some unique treasures for yourself?

This Month's Featured Pet(s)

Smokey and Bandit

Smokey and Bandit are 10-year old siblings who have lived together since their Dad, who is ill and no longer able to care for them, adopted them when they were only 4 months old.
They are both black as spades with green eyes, declawed, and in great health. Smokey is spayed and weighs around 10 pounds, while Bandit is neutered and weighs around 12 pounds.

Bandit is outgoing and loves to be scratched on his ears and at the base of his tail, and he will follow you around so that he always knows what’s going on. Smokey is not as much of a lap cat as Bandit, but has her own ways of telling you she wants some love.  Her specialty is sitting on her back legs to reach out and give you a high five!

The two really want to stay together; they balance each other out, and love playing and wrestling together. Please come by the Safe Place for Pets Welcome Center and meet them!
The Cattery at the Safe Place for Pets Welcome Center in Manitou Springs has quite an assortment of cats waiting to meet you and find our new forever homes!  Low-key or active?  Quiet or talkative?  Lap kitties or playful?  Independent or constant companion? Younger or older?  We resident cats run the gamut and there is sure to be one of us that is a good fit as your feline companion.
Since we usually come from long-term homes, many of us tend to be older.  Please visit the SP4P website to check out our bios, or come to the Cattery to meet us in person.  We look forward to meeting you and convincing you to “try us out” for a pre-adoption visit in your home!
